I know that there are 8 or 10 Federal Reserve districts that use an alpha symbol at the beginning of the serial number of each bill, but.....can the same 8-digit number be used between two different districts, I.e. Dallas K24681357A vs San Francisco L24681357A.
I save $2 bills as a side hobby of CRH, and want to know if this same number is a possibility, before I start this project quest.
