Then charge for first time overnight...
Depending on batts... 15 hours. (like minelab)

Generally, they come with a partial charge. Never completely drain them (they hate that). Keep them topped up, including before you use it the first time. If you Google how to take care of your batteries, there are tips by guys who seem to know what they talk about (eg. Doc who makes the gold screamer power pac), there is some really good advice.

Minelab GT and sov Elite

I see in the manual about the green light and its significance as to charge . The green light on the new "out of the package " battery has a bright green light, so I will charge it until the green light fades as explained in the manual.
