If you are a AT Pro user and have experience, what VDI number(s) are associated with a small gold ring? This would be very helpful to me and probably other users of this forum. Thanks ahead of time to all who share....

I know for a fact a small .999 gold ring comes in at foil range of 41-43. My wife's 18k white gold 5 1/2 ring comes in at 42-43. If you want the gold you're going to be digging lots of foil...

It will also depend on the caret and weight of the ring. Higher caret and heavier ring will both bring the VDI up a bit.

Usually in the 40s to 50s range.

So many variables...I have found big rings that were 48-50 and small ones that were 52-53 also ones that were in the 60s

But if it was light and small, probably 40s-50s

My son found a 14k diamond wedding band that read 53 on his atp

I found a big 10k that read 57/58.

Personaly, I don't rely on the vdi much. Like Digging n dumps said.. Lots of variables. When in doubt, dig it out.
