So I was searching quarters and I saw a rim that looked silver. I pulled it out and it was a 1999 pa statehood quarter with a P mint mark....I know silver proofs are made in SF. This doesn't seem like it was a proof coin. There is no copper showing on the rim at all. I have been looking online thinking it might be a wrong planchet error. I came across this artical: 1999 Delaware Quarter Dollar Struck on Experimental Planchet
They talk about "experimental planchets" but none of those seem like it matches this coin. Its a silver/nickel color all the way through. Any ideas? (I am out of town right now but when I get home I plan on seeing the coin dealer by my house.)
