Detector(s) used
White's V3, Minelab Explorer II & XP Deus.
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Hello everyone I am now thinking of getting the SE and well I would like to hear some feedback from the detector.
But of course I have some questions that I would need answerd:
1) how well does it handel heavy mineralisation? (mostly iron, hot rocks)
2) how well does it handel moister? (i.e fog, much water in the air)

Any other oppinons would be great ;D

No one has ANY oppinon about the Explorer!?

EU,

since not many replys.

Don't own one.
Never tried one.

From a buddy who has an explorer II, and
worked with a SE for a day.

"Big price for something that is not getting down
any better than the Explorer. He would not switch"

Other comments where that the pinpoint may be different for a
new user but not worth changing; again, no increase in depth. Final
comment was that if his went he would go with another explorer
II.

Just what one person said. But I put a lot of faith in
comments from a person who uses a machine and not owns one.

It's the old, "I just put $1,200 - $1,300 in a machine and its no
better than my last machine"; not many times will you hear that. ;)

Not my opinion, so take it for what it is worth. I'm sure the fact
that he has more experience with the ExplorerII may also play
into his comments.

Perhaps if you never had a Minelab, and you had the big bucks,
it would be the machine you would get.

have a good un...............

EU,

;D
"SHERMANVILLE ILLINOIS (Sherman is that not an tank?)"

If you mean a tracked armoured fighting vehicle,
yes it was; Was the Medium Tank M4. More than
50,000 were produced during WWII. Called the Sherman.

Did you know, The name tank first arose in British factories
making the hulls of the first battle tanks: the workmen were
given the impression they were constructing tracked water
containers for the British Army, hence keeping the production
of a fighting vehicle secret.

SHERMANVILLE, ILLINOIS was named for a Union General
who served his country in The War of the Rebellion; William
Tecumseh Sherman. ;)

have a good un..............

I see.
Have a good day. :)

EDIT: changed wrong info. :o

Ops! I looked through my (old) history book it says:
"Victory for general Tank
Tank was a code-name to keep the project secure from enemy spies until enough was produced to unleash it on the battlefield. The first where made of a tractor covered with armour, gun etc."
:D
