Questions on White Spec XLT

Finally dug the machine out again and i have a few questions.

I think i have some of it figured out but i need to ask anyways. If i make changes to basic programs while in the field i guess they stay in there until i remove the battery and then i lose them and the machine reverts back to the preset programs. Is that correct??

and based on that information, then i guess the only way to keep the changes if to add the new program into one of the four custom program positions i have available. Is that correct?

My understanding from reading the instructions is that custom programs will remain in the machine for up to ten years and i can make changes to them.

If I remember correctly, your first two observations are correct. As for the third, I don't think time has anything to do with it..... an altered program will stay in memory until the machine loses battery power. If you have a program that you like, save it in user 1 or user 2. They should stay there forever....or at least until the detector croaks.
