After 8 hours of yard work at my cabin yesterday, and most of the day in a plumbing project today, I was itchin for a quick fix. With 45 min till closing at the local park, I hustled my way back to the "old woodlot" behind the pavillions and playground. This ground, once privately owned, has been in use by Gringos since the 1830s, so there is always the chance of finding an oldie.Well, that didnt happen today, but it was still good.In roughly 30 mins, I dug a couple 50s wheats, a 63 rosie, a 64 jefferson, a nasty maltese cross, my first leg band, and my first round ball. The leg band is pre DNR. It says Dept of Conservation.Ill have to check and see when they made the change. The round ball looks to be a 50cal.It was very deep and pure white.Dont know if there is any way to date it but I dont believe its modern.
The lipstick is scripted "Northham Warren New York".
Sorry, theres nothing more exciting here ....it was a fun little hunt regardless....HH..Joe

theres silver there so not bad ---- sorta normal typical short hunt type finds -- Ivan

You still got silver. Good. That 64 nickel is spendable, especcially if it's a D. The mint made over a billion 1964 and 1.8 billion 1964 D nickels. That was the highest mintage of nickels until the 2000s
