Hey guys I haven't posted in a while. I've been doing quite well with numerous barbers, mercs and Washington quarters. But I've been working on my soon to be youtube channel. Needless to say today I had about 45 minutes to hunt and I went to a great place that's been "pounded" but haven't been there in about 2 years. I started to hit old fields (now woods). I got a nice musket ball then another. Not too long after the second bullet I got a solid 62 @ 2" on the ATP. It was also the first time out with my early Father's Day present from my wife and son. They got me a AT propointer which is awesome! I decided to record it because of how solid the signal was. Out pops a 1853 3 cent silver in AMAZING condition! The coin is in great condition if not close to AU. The coin is straight and not bent and the rim is still raised. I was literally shaking I've always wanted to find one but with only a few years of production and use they're very elusive. This is the second AU coin i found from the 1800s this year! I will let everyone know when the youtube channel is up and running too.
