I'm going back to a site where i've done very well with old silver & copper coins & some jewelry...now digging some lower tones. Upon returning home, I realized that one of my nickels was a V. I spent a little time with a toothpick & i can make out 190x, pretty sure it's 1901. I'm just happy to be able to see any detail on it at all since the other V nickel i dug here in the fall was completely wasted.

Ended up with the V, three wheats, an ice rink token, and $0.82 in clad.

I just got back from a different site, a new permission, and dug another one. 1906

Wow 2 posts in one. Those V nickels normally come out toasted, from my experience. You are still killing it. :headbang: 2016 is a great year for you Murray.

They're always fun to find but usually quite sizzled. Still two one day, nicccee!

Wow,two days in a row, sweet

Nice V-Nickel recovery.

Nice job. Can't wait till i can knock V off the bucket list.

You are still getting nice things from that place.
