Got out yesterday with The Patriot to a couple sites, tried a new spot that didn't pan out and then headed to one of Patriots old favorites and I managed a couple of George II coppers, a 1760 Hibernia and another that I can't date. Got a few musketballs, buttons and some other relics. Coolest find of the day for me was the little toy? sword, that has a brass handle with some design work on it and an iron blade.

That's a different item, yeah you guys would have looked like drowned rats out there today

That sword is awesome. Man I would love to find one of those, it would go great with the little brass cannon I found earlier this year.
Looks like you have a great spot to hunt there.:icon_thumright:

In some pretty awesome stuff right there. Congrats.:icon_thumleft:

Looks like a good day! It's a little damp down here in N.C. too. hopefully it will be dry this weekend. :notworthy:

Period toys are extra special finds, they sure don't come up often.
As long as finds are coming the rain isn't so bad.

Wicked hunt, man! I love that sword. :)

That Patriot is a good guy. :)

That toy sword was likely owned by a little French boy who would be well over 300 years old now. We were drowned rats for sure...but the ground was still only wet for a couple of inches surprisingly... Those old Hibernian coppers are alway nice to find...
