Randy Wayne White,a onetime fishing guide and owner of DOC FORD's SANIBEL RUM BAR & GRILLE on Sanibel Island,has written over 20 novels centered around ex-CIA,Doc Ford and the denizens of Dinkins Bay on Sanibel.
White incorporates a lot of SW Florida history in his novels-all are a great read.
Incidently,he lives in an old house built upon an indian mound in that area.
OH,...the food at DOC FORD's is well worth the visit.
