I get 37/38/39 signals on my Nox all the time at the old lost 1800’s farm sites I hunt. 99.9 percent of the time they are loud/overload signals from aluminum beer cans. If they are still loud when I lift the coil 18” I tend to pass and move on. On hunt a few years back I had the rare 38 pure small signal and I was hoping for the elusive silver dollar, but dug a Coin silver pocket watch case. This weekend I got that same signal and dug this.

Thought, darn, fooled again by a perfectly crushed Budweiser, but flipped it over and removed the dirt (pic after cleaning).

Another Coin silver 1800’s pocket watch case!

Here is the handful of coins and tags from the weekend.

Here are the relics.

Good luck out there!

Nice finds Thad.

I love turning up those old pocket watch backs especially silver.

I have a good bit of the cases in silver. I also have some complete pockets watches in silver.

Rare to get a high thirties signal though and turns out to be something good.

Not a silver spur, but a coin silver pocket watch case is still silver. Wonder what type of silver coins were melted down to make that?

You gotta dig your share of one and two reales before you graduate to the big 8 :laughing7:
Good chance there is some Spanish silver in that piece...,.

Thx! Probably an ounce or a little more, don’t have a scale. I think it is actually 2 layers of silver, outer and inner case from one side of pocket watch.
