I found this rare Alabama Volunteer Corps “AVC” button in Shelbyville TN. The backmark on the button is Scovill. This is my first AVC button in the 20 years I have been metal detecting. My hunting partner didn’t rescan the hole. I think that ten more years in the ground and this button would have disintegrated.

Heck yeah!!! Beautiful save there Mike,I would put that puppy in a case and leave it like that. Congrats :icon_thumright:

Awesome AVC button .. Congrats!!
I bet your hunting buddy will recheck his holes now. The last hole I rechecked with success gave up a silver spoon, then a 1827' Brazilian Reis coin.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!
