With the recent rain and the cooler weather I thought I should seize the moment and get out there. I met up with Troy afterwork and we got right to detecting. It wasn't long before I pulled a 1943-P Silver war nickel and a couple of wheats. Then I hit a long clad spell. About 8:30 and three hours down Troy asked if I was done. Yep and I said I would search as we walked back to the cars. Not 10 feet from Troy as we were walking back I get a 79-80 VDI and out pops a 1951 Rosie. All I can say is sorry Troy! I wish it had been you! I ended up with 85 coins for the day (including a tot lot stop at lunch). Here is the final tally.
1951 Silver Rosie
1943-P Silver Jefferson
1955-D Wheatie
1952 Wheatie
1958-D Wheatie

Off to the beach next week. Hope to get at least one hunt in.
