Your token is listed (along with 5¢ and 25¢ denominations) in the NETCC Nebraska Trade Tokens book. The book suggests the business was going ca. 1944. No, that is not too new for a 2½¢ token - that denomination was used primarily in pool halls into the 1950s. Please post your pics on tokencatalog.com

Lol not really sure as I was born in 1980. O googled average price of a beer at that time and that's what I got. I will have to look at some old newspapers from the time in the archives and see what I can find. I am curious now what the actual costs where here.Was beer really that expensive in 1950 Nebraska? My local bar was still serving $.25 draft beers in 1980. I remember $.10 beers on base in the '70's. Just 3.2 stuff, but, hey.....it was a beer!![]()
