I would say what you have there is a really nice piece of Gypsum. Cool Find!

I Think you are right. Appears to be a very nice piece of Calcite. Have found quite a bit of it in West Texas.

And... Several raw minerals and some wild compounds can kill you. Not to mention the chocking hazard!
