What bullet is this? Dug on a site where I have found colonial, civil war and even some turn of the century (1899-1900) items. Thanks for any help. Thats a penny for size reference and one of the bullets weighs 12.8 grams.

It is a modern-era "wadcutter" version of pistol bullet, made specifically for target shooting. The flat top and rings punch an easily-visible neatly circular hole in a paper target.

Looks to be .44 or .45 caliber semi wadcutter, 200 grains, fairly modern like TheCannonballGuy said.
