So, just finished sorting my latest cent bag. Pulled 7 wheats and 9 canadian. As I was going through though, I started noticing a few AU type 60s/70s, so started pulling them. Then it got weird... Prior to this, my highest total of 1960 was 37 in a bag, that was in a copper dump. This bag, I'm guessing, conservatively, there are about 400 1960Ds. It got to the point where every other one was a 60d, and they were all either the normal brown toning, or AU nothing really in between. I was just kinda laughing at first, but I literally had to just pile them all up after a while there were so many. Also found probably 50 1959 AUs as well, not to mention around 250 1970S AUs too. The rest weren't really anything in particular, a normal smattering of AU type cents from 61-80. I'm guessing someone really wanted to find the large date over small date type of the 60, and the small date S or something. Starting to microscope them all now, will post any finds. Do have another bag to go through as well, see if the trend continues (though, I'm honestly starting to get annoyed by those 3 dates).
