This past weekend I was invited to dig with some folks out in Ohio. Everything from the dig was kept with the collection from the site, but I was able to take several breaks from digging to walk the cornfields in search of Native American artifacts. Although most were broken, I was able to eyeball a number of pieces.

I also got to do a little detecting away from the dig site and found an interesting token. From what I've been able to learn so far the token dates from approximately 1880-1910 and was issued to pool hall operators equipped with tables from the National Billiards Manufacturing Co. in Cincinnati, OH. They would change out the part of the stamping die to add the pool hall operators name or initials, in this case J. V. was the owner/operator.

I also found this gold plated pin with a nice design.

Here is a gold plated watch fob for a vest that I found about a week prior.

Thanks for looking and HH
