Here's some of my finds the last couple of weeks.
The first is a fairly large crinoid stem. This is the largest I've found that I've been able to extract.
Next is a large brachiopod from the same area/strata:
A few days later, I found an area where fossil corals are pretty common and already washed out of their matrix:
After a few hours collecting, I have literally a couple of jars full of these now, although not all are as nice as these specimens.
At another site about a mile away, I happened upon a couple of very nice specimens. The first is a huge coral still embedded in its matrix:
This is one I'm going to try and extract.
The next specimen, found in the same area, is some really thin and well-preseved mussel (?) fossils. Note how thin they are!
