Wow. Did you find that? It looks to have a nice polished bit and base. Not seen one square like that but looks to be polished. Maybe a pole celt?
I do not feel that bit is natural. Under a micro scope or loop you might see the sand and polish marks.

Yes i found. Here are some more looks just on case.

I'm not sure about these either...

Everything from the same spot. I've found lots of pottery and a few points too.

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I'm not too much on the stone tool stuff and have a similar collection myself that I'm collecting. Wish I could help with answers. I did notice a small round looks like marble type object and it might be a stone marble and may or may not be NA but still very very old and collectible.

I don't know if they are artifacts or not. I would like to believe they are but would like to know for sure.

some are for sure...we just need to see them better and hear the background of where they were found.

Do you find any points, or many chipped or flaked pieces?

On the 1st one. Looks natural changed my mind sorry.

Yup! There you go ;) Some good pottery and a couple points! Uncertain of that last piece which you hasped to a stick... But hey. what the heck? Try real hard to hold your breath when taking pictures. It's hard to see details when they're fuzzy...:tongue3: all good-

Yes I definitely need to get better at the pics. I have a tripod that I need to start using. I have another bad full of pottery and a handful of quartz points. Again, everything is from the same spot

Just curious as to what changed your thoughts?? Thanks

i'll tell you what is wrong with that first one for me, the polish is all over with a high gloss river polish. if it was banged and smacked around some areas would show wear and abrasion.

I admit, due to it's weight, I feel that it would break if it used it to hit something

looks like a natural creek smoothed rock to me .

After looking at it for a while I was thinking a natural creek wear rock also. It is real hard sometimes to see the difference in the rocks and artifacts after they are in the water for thousands of years but usually in the quartz and quartzite mainly. I believe it is natural
