Record Day & My First Kennedy Half Dollar!!
Well it was a beautiful day in Ohio, cloudy, mid-70s, with a nice breeze. I started my hunt at the soccer field complex, searching the remaining half of the field I'd started yesterday. Starting at the goal line, I was finding dime after dime, then quarters took over. I had 14 dimes and 11 quarters before I'd even completed the penalty box area! Three and half hours later (with a 45 minute delay for a rain shower), I finished at midfield on the opposite side from my car. I kept swinging the perimeter of the field around the far end near a concession stand, when i get a strong tone, with a quarter icon, 88 VDI at 2 inches depth. To my surprise, out pops a 1978 Kennedy Half....my first. Nice way to finish a hunt, 62 coins for $7.58, both records for me. Thanks for looking.
BTW, the watch (upper right corner) and fighter jet are firsts as well for my collection.
