Recovery time?

Detector Recovery Time.....The time in between, the detector sees multiple targets, and IDs them,or time to recover between targets.....your Gamma 6000 is very fast. Put out some targets in a row 2" to 3" a part and see for yourself.
Target Recovery Time.... is the time to find the coin/ring/iron.....a pin pointer helps with that.

There's a YouTube video on the bounty hunter platinum that shows this. It's by Carolinacoinhunter. The video is called " bounty hunter platinum metal detector review.
You may also notice that the gamma and the platinum are VERY similar machines.
Gamma is a good machine

Happy hunting

Thanks for the replies.
I took my gamma 6000 out for the first time this morning. In discrimation mode it would see a target, then stay on the vdi for a while. It seemed to be frozen for a while. Is that normal?

It holds an ID until it sees the next ID'able target.

Some people like that feature, I don't and have long argued against it. The trend has been away from it and I think all of our newer model releases blank the ID displayed after 3 to 5 seconds.

Yep
I got an Omega 8000 that locks on till it sees the next target, and an EuroTek Pro that blanks after 3-5 seconds.
Both methods are fine with me .
