Hi,
I recently became chair of the new Recreational Mining Committee at the Alaska Miners Association. The goal of the committee is to promote the recreational aspects of mining as a hobby, as opposed to mining as a business or profession.
edited 2013 - The committee has been renamed the Small Scale Miners Committee and although I am no longer chair it is more active than ever. Visit http://www.alaskaminers.org/
