Red Seal button.

Hi everyone. I found this in my field. It was out in the middle 8 inches under ground. I can't find anything online about it. Not sure if Red Seal is a brand name or something else. Also not sure how old it is but it is two piece that snap together. It appears to be brass with a metal base

red seal workers cloths been around since late 1800s or early 1900s...found this 1900 poster..

This makes sense. I can imagine my Great Grandfather wearing those clothes in the field. I think I'll check to see if that was a product line at the mining Commissary.
