I've accidentally done this before and hunted all day with a couple of numbers notched out. Was 20-21 once. Wonder what I left behind that day...

Me too, worse thing is not used to a screen and get in the zone and go by sound. Got over that, mostly :rolleyes:

TSS's video just reinforces my thoughts on discrimination. On the beach, good targets can span the VDI spectrum. If you were to notch out anything, you risk notching out a potential find of the day. I always run all metal and let the tones and my brain tell me what just might be under the coil. I've yet to notch out anything and can't see myself changing that approach.
