Relics from an 1875 house & a few videos

After work today I hit an 1875 house in town. I tried to find some relics under the house too, but only found one. Here's the videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-eCYdepof8

I then detected in the back yard and recovered a few things, but nothing too spectacular.
My finds were:

*An aluminum Union Pacific lucky token dated 1934.

*AAA good driver key ring FOB or token. No idea on the age. :icon_scratch:

*A LARGE flat button

*A "sterling" earring.

*A gold (plated) hair clip

*Large deco looking buckle of some sort. :icon_scratch:

*Suspender clip

*Pottery shards, a marble, and other asst'd metal crappe'.

Have a great weekend,
MM

More Great Finds MM!!! I don't think a coil had ever been across that yard until yours got there based on the amount of finds you made. WTG AGAIN!!!

CWH,
Is it because you aren't old enough, or they won't open for you? :tongue3: I swear they are only PG rated. ;D

Thanks VOL.
Once again, another old house with no silver coins. :'( A lot of the yard was covered with fresh plantings & mulch though, so I couldn't dig everywhere. The two tokens were fun finds though.

I love that "Safe Driver" badge. If it's pre-1920, that means they had a healthy, well behaved horse!

Very funny Kevin. ;D

Love the gold brooch..... what camera are you using to take these video's? it seems like it is attached to a helmet or something?

God bless

Re: Relics from an 1875 house & a few videos

Good finds!! I found one of those union pacific tokens back in the 70s or 80s I think, nice!

Re: Relics from an 1875 house & a few videos

Doug, COOL finds and video.

You should have me come out and sniff for silver before you start digging ;D ;D ;D

Doug,

That plated hair clip is absolutely stunning. It is a beautiful find that would not have fared well in a plowed field like I've been hunting lately.

And I really like suspender clips of that type.

Very cool post, my friend.

Thanks Peter.
The video camera I use is an RCA "Small Wonders" (EZ201) model. Very compact & easy to use. I think I paid about $100 for it at HH Gregg.
You can shoot a vid on it up to about 4 minutes.
