Remnants of an old coin???

Found this the other day. Looked like a piece of scrap, but under closer inspection I can see the faint outlines of a neck, jaw, mouth, nose and eye on the right side. I think I see numbers along the bottom left. Are my eyes playing tricks on me?

I don't think that is a coin. Keep hunting - lots of good stuff out there to find. Good luck.
