I found a lot of these trace carrier frames this year. They intrigued me. I wanted to repurpose them and/or display them to best effect. I thought they might work as bottle openers. Today a 12-pk of Oktoberfest jumped in with my groceries. Strange how that can happen…
I experimented with the frame and it is a great opener. It doesn’t even damage the bottle cap. Now I need to clean several of them up properly and seal them so they don’t rust again. Maybe a nice oak handle can be incorporated with it. I’d rather give them out as presents than to leave them in a bucket. Thanks for looking.
Skoal! Chin Chin! Cheers!

Absolutely brilliant way to repurpose!! I too have the issue of 12 packs jumping into my grocery basket, don’t know what to do about it 😀

I’ve never tried Oktoberfest. I know the original Leinenkugels is hard to find around here. All I see is the flavored stuff.

Their Canoe Paddler and their Creamy Dark are very good bottled beers.
