Yesterday my partner, flynndfx40, and I returned to the field where we have found 3 William Harrison 1840 campaign buttons and had some more good luck. He found a 1920 wheat and an 1899 "V" nickel. I found a surface find but my XLT found it first. It is an 1853 Large Cent, my second for the month (1846). The field has been plowed and we had walked past the coin several times. We had decided to quit for the day and I was walking out of the field when my detecter gave a 50 cent signal. Going back this weekend after it rains.
