With July and August past, I got back to Riverside Park today and was concentrating on deep targets.

Finds included coins, jewelry, a roundball (sprue noted), an old fashion button with naval motif and a token or equipment tag, not certain which it may be. In recovering a trash target I discovered a nearly round ball of green glass. Good to get out but the dgging was difficult, so a good soaking will be appreciated.

Thanks for checking out the pics!:notworthy:

Thanks, atw. It was good to get out. Think I wait for softer soil and cooler temp before I head back there.

I like those targets.Congrads on the cool stuff. Is there deep water at Riverside Park? Looks like a great spot for treasures.

Your nearly round ball of glass might be a "Mill Marble"... slightly bigger than a regular marble, usually kind of roughly cast. They are the raw material for fiberglass manufacturers. Google "fiber glass marble", if you are interested.

Nice finds. Best of luck to you!

NICE FINDS MR. DIG.

Cool assortment of finds

That pawn looking game piece is a stud for an 1800s early 1900s detachable collar

This to "born to hunt 460", thanks for the id on the collar button. This about the fifth such found at this site.

To OBN, too high for water. The turn of the century fountain area was replace by a fenced-in community swimming pool.

To Carolina Tom, I checked it out and the size is approximate to what you mentioned as a fiberglass mill marble.
