a very short "HUNT" since the wheel took 45 minutes to free from the 200 year old tree roots, then the French Trade Tomahawk at 20 inches deep (kinda' ran out of arm to stick in that hole) was another 15 minute dig. hit as growling 85 VDI,
mostly growl with the sporadic chirp
, but what a rush when it revealed itself. both were given electrolysis then a light coat of beeswax. the wheel ( toy covered wagon?
)is 3.6 ounces, 2 7/8" X 1/2", the trade head is 10 ounces, 4 1/2" X 2 1/2". also scored a '55 Wheat & '72 Jeff. decided to make a deal with my host on the '34 matron LC--- it gets to live in his LC collection and I got a '48 in super un- dug condition. felt like the right thing to do
Monday was another clad fest at the adjacent public land where the .925 ring at 3.2 grams covered my travel cost.
