Return to the 1930's Bottle dump

Met up with Wild Willie today and detected a long path leading to the bottle dump we found a month or more ago... managed to dig a 1961 Rosie, 6 wheats and a 10K Gold Plated Ring...after a couple of hours willie had to leave, his girl is in the hospital, told willie i would keep going for a hour or so... went straight to the bottle dump and shut down the detector.... dug the two small box's, razor holder and the really small bottle... then i got the Milton Spring soda bottle... finding nothing more i moved over 4-5 feet and dug the glass bird...then i saw silver!! and got the Standing Liberty quarter... another "No Date" 4th one without a date... then i dug the Sam McCord's Drug Shop Lowell Mass bottle... anyone have and info on this bottle or the soda bottle, would loved to know the date on them... found another bottle, square shape one that said "Pineoleum" on it..the top was broken off..also left behind another soda bottle that said "Laurel Club"

way to go! bottle dumps are fun....

Re: Return to the 1930's Bottle dump

Very nice finds. Like the little bird.....

Re: Return to the 1930's Bottle dump

Nice,
Looks like the two outside quarters were rubbed in the field. I've done that and no matter how lightly you think you are rubbing, they still get those micro scratches. Or... maybe the dirt in the dump scratched them over time..?
Still, those are really nice finds. That's one coin that is quite scarce in So. Cal.

As soon as i found the SLQ i placed it in a napkin and then right in my wallet, got it home and ran it under the tap, saw that it had no date so i cleaned it with some baking soda & water.... if it had a date on it, you bet i would of left it alone...
