Rev. War Stirrup, button, and silver.

[Scrappy]

Did a two hour hunt today on a revolutionary site. Found a great stirrup made of brass. Not positive of the age but a fellow t-net friend of mine said it could very well be late 1700's. Problem was he was driving and couldn't more than glance at it.

I'm trying to find more info on the stirrup so please if you can positively ID it, chime in. Either way, I LOVE IT!!

Also found a barber quarter, button, and IHP's.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Steve

That should take up a lot of blank space in a display! Nice relic. Merry Christmas Scraps.

Hey thanks Dave. We both got our Christmas gifts before Christmas this year! We're simple people...nickels and broken stirrups. Kids today wouldn't understand! Lol

Merry Christmas bud

I read in a book that George Washington lost most of his Stirrup at a Rev site in NJ...

Well done Scrappy,,
There seems to be a run on stirrups lately on TNet
Congrats

Funny how that works. I haven't seen a stirrup in quite a while and now two? lol

Awesome job on the stirrup and other finds

Thx. It was quite a surprise considering it was such a crappy signal!

Awesome finds! Merry Christmas, Steve!

Looking forward to more hunts together in 2016!
