A friend of mine acquired this button and I coulsn't find it in Albert's book.Any help with I'D would be appreciated. It is silver guilt and about 22 mm.
Thanks Buckram!I think someone sold this button on ebay to him and described it as a dug conferderate riflemans button.I sent him by page you referenced in your response. It just didn't look right to me.Thanks again
hope he didn't get suckered into believing it was dug
Yes he did and he still doesn't believe it.
Is the back stamp "SUPERIOR QUAILITY" a company name as he claims or is it the marking of waterbury co.? He says that it is different from the waterbury co because his says superior quality on the back!
besides its into good of a condition to have been dug theres no pitina on it or any greening from being in the gorund spend over 100 years in the earth and your gold gilt sort of wears off
