Ring in the dirt!

Got to kill sn hour this afternoon, so I went out to the 1811 home I found the buffalo nickel at the other day. Scored a 1936 wheetie and this, I am sure very old and valuable ring.

Got an old not sure what it is, any help would be appreciated.

Nice wheatie! That ring is an extremely rare Detroit Lions Super bowl ring! I found one earlier this year too! Huge congrats on the ring and don't jump on the first offer to buy it. Hold out for at least 1 mil!!!

....Can't tell the the scale , but the Whatsit might be the remains....the back end of a broken off doorknob?

The "whats it" is called a faucet seat. It is a replaceable threaded brass ring that the faucet washer sits on when in the closed position.
Congrats on the D ring. I think it was minted in Denver.

Yeah, Lions have never won a Super Bowl, it's a joke. They did win 4 NFL Championship games prior to the first Super Bowl.

JccEldreth, your "old not sure what it is" mystery object is part of an antique door lock. The square hole in it was for the square iron shaft of the doorknob to fit into. Turning the doorknob turned the square shaft which turned your mystery-object, whose "eccentric rim" retracted the wedge-shaped door latch which fit into the matching opening in doorframe. You'll see your mystery object in the photo below. That photo was used to ID another doorlock part... the blue arrow has nothing to do with your find.
