Nice SNT! Yeah buddy, wife and I booked 3 nights at the beach to spend a couple days after storm hunting. Hoping this nor'easter is a stripper, not a depositor, Erin was a disappointment. Would love to see a 4-6 foot cut, a bowl or two, and a nice long trough. Fingers crossed.

Thanks SNT, I hope this nor'easter strips enough sand to get me within range of some long-lost treasures. Last time with Erin, wife and I were down at the beach just as Erin was approaching, so we were a bit early. But this time, we were fortunate to book our stay for 3 nights after the nor'easter. I'm not taking any chances with this opportunity so I'm taking my 2 best detectors, Dual Field PI for shallow water & wet, and my BBS SMF Sovereign Elite w/12x10 & 15x12 SEF coils for the wet & dry. With those 2, I should be well armed to get the goodies, I just need this storm to cooperate by being a stripper, and not a depositor, lol.

Regardless of the outcome, I will have a good time. It's the journey I enjoy along with the excitement we all feel before a hunt, knowing that we have a good chance at finding some cheddar & bling, as long it's there to be found, lol.

Hunt the black or other deferent colored sand!
I like to check the toe or the starting bottom edge of the cut first working parallel with the water.
But if and when we are blessed with the garage doors opening anywhere that sands have moved is it!
When it’s low T I get as wet as I can😎🌊

Just heard from a buddy who lives just a few miles from the beaches I'll be hunting. I have a feeling I'm gonna feel like I'm in one of those machines with money blowing all around, and I have 60 seconds to grab and pocket as much as I can, lol. He said the storm will be stripping replenishment sand, taking the dry down to hard pan.

If that's the case, I'm sure I'll see black sand, no problem for my PI or Sov. But having all that replenishment sand stripped off and being able to detect hard pan is just too friggin' juicy to ignore. Gotta remember my priorities, shallow water & wet first, as that depends on the tide. I can hunt the dry anytime, so I'm gonna want to hit that hard pan as well if the storm strips the dry.
