rings, cavalry buckle, & a what is it

Hey all. Haven't posted in a while but I got out to a local park this week and was able to squeeze out three rings. One is Sterling, one is a 10K weeding band, and the other is junk made in Hong Kong. Pictured with the rings is a Playboy necklace and a nickel that someone made into a religious medallion.
The second hunt was in the vicinity of a Fort which yielded the buckle. (any help narrowing down exactly what kind of buckle would be most appreciated) and the what is it which looks like a long finger missing a fingernail. :laughing7:
Thanks for looking and keep swinging. :icon_thumleft:

Re: rings, cavalry buckle, & a what is it

The iron buckle is just an equipment or harness buckle used for many years before during, and way after the CW and Indian Wars. The brass "finger" is a very good find as it's a tent rope tensioner used so the soldiers could tighten and adjust ropes on their tents. HH, Quindy.
