Great looking point!

That's a McCorkle and it's been in the water for a very long time and that's why it is so highly polished. Very nice find.

that ones been in the river for awhile, nice find

that is a nice looking one.

Points like that always amaze me when I see/find them. It is hard to imagine that it could remain that intact while being so worn. It is also a larger bifurcate. Very nice.

Chuck

Headhunter - I was in Parkersburg hunting rocks this weekend. Will post the finds shortly.

yeah right, sure. i dont see any water damage, lol. i found my first river point on the ohio. it was so smooth and tiny broken tip, neighbor came over seen it and took a grinder to it and said he fixed it, lol. is the river down to hunt

Wow, That's really nice. What kind of material is it ? The end view looks a lot like fossilized bone, but the other pics show the rest of the features. Real Nice, Congats on the find, thanks for showing. Lone Star

Lonestar - I believe the material is Kanawha flint. It's a common, duller black flint. Zaleski is also an option but it's glossier than this point.

Really nice finds. Congrats :icon_thumright:
