Thought Id struck when searching a sandy riverbed where I live (Wales UK) lots of Roman history,I got a signal and dug down, saw a couple of coins that seemed to have a slight gold tint so I grabbed them , turned out to be four coins together dam 100 peseta coins.God only knows how they got there.never mind gold next time.
