I can't be certain from your description, but the only Long Beach token with the Queen Mary on it that is shown in Atwood's 3rd Edition of transportation tokens is #445D. That one, according to the book, began use on 7 Apr 1968 and has a catalog value of 25¢. It doesn't say what a fare cost at the time, but I would imagine it to be under a dollar.

I don't believe Long Beach was a port of call for the Queen Mary prior to she being bought by, then brought to, the city of Long Beach in 1967. The 'fare token' may be for a tour of the Queen once permanently moored in LB.
