Road trip finds

[CASPER-2]

Went on a road trip and stopped in Del.,Md.,Va., and NJ
could have been better ...could have been worse
Goal was to meet as many TH'ers as possible and that was pretty successful - met 9 fellow TH'ers along the way
because of conditions - I did not get in the water as much and as long as I had planned, but those are the risks on a road trip like this
it was planned around a wedding or I would have waited for warmer weather
I got 2 small gold rings - a silver one - silver cross and silver earing
90 coins - only old ones were a few green Wheaties
79 sinkers - big jump to start the year in that category

Sounds like you had a good time Casper. Congrats on the goldssss!! What is the deal with the gold ring fixed to the sinker? This is the second time I have seen that. Thanks for sharing!

I was about 50 yrds out - and it was about 2 ft down
when I first found it - thought it was a brass band put on there to act as a slider
so the sinker can stay in one spot and fish can run with line a little
but thought after dropping in my pouch "why would you put a thin piece of metal on your line that could wear thru or
cut your line?"
Then kept thinking about it and wondered if it could be infact a ring - when I got back to my room I quickly looked for it
amongst the other sinkers and saw that it had a diamond chip and a pattern on it - my eyes are shot
had my gal peek inside and she saw 10k - I confirmed it later with my loupe
