Went the next state over today as we live along the Ohio River its just a couple miles and across a bridge
We went to the county fair grounds there as the fair was over there last week. We got out before it got hot an while taking a tour around the outside of the grounds we came across something I never knew was there
It was a civil war site of a place where the confederates stopped to water their horses. We looked thing over and took some pics and it looked like years ago someone laid some old rock to make some sort of shelter or something, well the pics will tell the story I hope better then I can
The fairgrounds there was disappointing as the wife only found 1 quarter an 2 pennies and I only found 3 quarters 3 dimes and 3 pennies someone beat us to it I think
place had lots of pull tabs and pieces of pop cans everywhere
, I did find an earring that wasn't much but sure was shiny
The water at the civil war watering hole runs right out from the rock an you can see alittle water in a hole on the inside plus there is a creek that runs down below the rocks. We didn't find much but sure was fun to find alittle history
Anyway thanks for looking
