Hi ... This is a great forum and I hope someone might point me in the right direction.
My dad lives on the outskirts of Roanoke but due to his age can't help me too much about where to do some 'Detecting. For my next visit (about December) I'd like to come prepared to do a little hunting. Just some silver coins would be enough <smile>.
Hoping to hear from someone...I am in California and mostly do beach hunting with my Fisher's F4.

I may be in Southwestern Virginia for about a week starting the day after Christmas. I'd say your dad could point you in the right direction as well. He's bound to know some friends/have family in the area. He'll at least have some recollections that might prove useful if he's lived there for a good while. You should do lots of research in the meantime and have somebody scope a few sites for you.
