Is that stone? It almost looks like a chunk of cannel coal.

VERY cool! We've had a couple 'etched'/scratched pieces shown here- one of which was mine. Are you near a river? plus, I cant enlarge your pic for some reason. And a lil blurrrrrrry....... wanna see those points and pottery ;)
 

Yes found in a field along wabash river indiana
 

I ask because mine has what I think are canoe etchings- and on the non-leaf side, yours appears to as well. Again, very cool.
