I've contacted the University but they are on summer break. I too at first thought it was pyrite ... matched it up to samples of pyrite it's way off ... Galena? Haven't tried that. I know those pics aren't really showing it justice ... lemme try to add another pic

Both of you have a stone of the Jesuit. Quick your has that little piece that extends out. I have stones with the same features. The place you found it. Was it near a water source. In that area there will be the same out thing but larger. Here at my place it's in the water.

Actually, I see why people are saying galena, but it actually looks more like Arsenopyrite. But be even more careful than you would with Galena, it contains Arsenic.
