Rock with a bone going through it from the beach

I've been picking up rocks on the beach and tossing them onto my porch. Had this one a few weeks and just noticed the black part was bone. Pretty neat!

Yep. Probably whale bone. And a shell imprint.

My guess is that the 'rock' is a fossil bryozoan skeleton growing on the bone scrap.

Thanks! Makes sense it was something growing around the bone. Shows you how much I know about fossils! I think its just about the coolest thing I've found so far; really like it.
