rocks found in southwestern wisconsin

found these by a tree while digging. not sure what they are if they are rocks or not. They are really hard, they do not float. Can anyone identify these for my niece?

Really Hard Boiled Eggs, Just kidding they are Limonite Nodules. Type of geode. Neat find and welcome to the forum!
