I posted over on What is it and they couldn't identify - suggested I post here. My friend sent me this pic asking if I could help identify these rocks (not the quartz.) He found them in Howell, MI. They are about 3-4". They are stones that appear to have merged or purged some smoother, dark something. He described them as like caramel surrounded by chocolate, lol...any ideas? Thanks for any thoughts.
