You know, Thomas. in the second photo, I see what you're seeing. Wouldn't necessarily describe it that way. But I see something different, also. If you are a mayfly, hot spring night, in the midst of your ONE night of total, frenzied life, mingling with a friggin' snowstorm of other mayflies doing the same thing; any way the second one is what you would see just before you went splat on the front of a one headlight out VW micro bus. The first one, when you are wading in the Santee River here in South Carolina, is your moment of recognition the instant before that 30 pound snapper takes a taste test of your ankle.
